AXIOMA METERING IMPLEMENTS A PROJECT FINANCED BY EUROPEAN UNION FUNDS

Axioma Metering has developed an ultra-precise ultrasonic water meter - the Qalcosonic W1 This meter measures water flow using ultrasonic technology. Ultrasonic technology is one of the fastest growing methods in a wide range of applications, as it can detect and react immediately to even the slightest changes in any system. Axioma Metering UAB is implementing the project "Registration of the design of the water meter", No 01.2.1-MITA-T-845-01-0070, with the support of European Union funds. The project budget amounts to EUR 6 365,00, of which the company will contribute EUR 1 591,25 of its own funds. By taking advantage of the funding opportunities, the company aims to protect the design of the Product by obtaining design protection. An international design application has therefore been filed with the World Intellectual Property Organisation. The aim is to have the design registered in Europe, the United States, Japan and Turkey. Design protection would ensure that other manufacturers of similar products do not copy and produce an analogous object. The distinctive feature of the object is that the water meter is very lightweight, made of plastic and has a digital display showing accurate water measurements.

The project also aims to contribute to the priority areas set out in the Baltic Sea Strategy Action Plan, namely (1) removing barriers to the formation of an internal market in the Baltic Sea Region; (2) exploiting the full potential of research and innovation in the region; and (3) implementing the Small Business Act by fostering entrepreneurship, strengthening small and medium-sized enterprises and making more efficient use of human resources.

The project also contributes to the implementation of the Action Plan for the Implementation of the Lithuanian Innovation Development Programme 2014-2020 for the years 2014-2017, approved by the Order of the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania No 4-491 of 16 July 2014 "On the Action Plan for the Implementation of the Lithuanian Innovation Development Programme 2014-2020 for the years 2014-2017" (hereinafter referred to as the "Action Plan"). This project aims to stimulate the introduction of new products on the market.
