Axioma is starting the mass production of the newest ultrasonic heat meter Qalcosonic E4 with a composite flow part. MID certificate confirms that these meters have met the highest metrological standards. Therefore, they are ready for commercial use. The certificate was issued by the registered body of the Thermal Equipment Research and Testing Laboratory of the Lithuanian Energy Institute.
The development of the Qalcosonic E4 meters started a year ago and today Axioma Metering began accepting its first commercial orders. We are currently setting up all necessary technological equipment at our production facility located at the plant in the Kaunas FEZ in order to achieve the planned production capacity.
The Qalcosonic E4 heat meter is a unique product in the market, characterized by low cost and high accuracy. Another important aspect is modularity which allows you to choose several different communication options and adapt to the current and upcoming market requirements. The meter is available in sizes DN15, DN20 and DN32. It should be also noted that previously the size of DN32 was not included in the standard production line of the Axioma heat meters. DN40, as planned, will be available for sample ordering in Q4 2021.
Water and heat devices are the objects of legal metrology. This means that they can enter the market only in accordance with the procedure established by the Law on Metrology. The MID is the EU directive which defines the essential requirements for metrological objects used for commercial purposes in 2006. Its main aim is to harmonize these provisions at the European level as well as to ensure that consumers would receive only the highest quality products that are safe. Prior to the MID approval, each EU country used to apply its own national requirements.
