The certification of Qalcosonic W1 water meter taking place in Israel has been completed in May of this year. The meter manufactured by Axioma Metering was granted the Israeli metrology certification and has been added to the list of metering devices approved for use in the country.
“Israel is a high-tech country with stringent metrology standards. In order to receive the certification, we had to carry out additional meter testing according to the requirements of the International Organization of Legal Metrology. The tests have been successfully performed, and now we are proud to announce another Qalcosonic W1 quality accreditation,” said Rytis Kepalas, Head of Water Meter Sales Division at Axioma Metering.
Kepalas added that the certification process was facilitated by the fact that Qalcosonic W1 designed by Axioma Metering is easy to adapt and adjust to the specific market needs. The meters intended for marketing in Israel have been supplemented with unique functions. The most peculiar of them is blocking of screen and data display on Saturdays (Sabbath) while the meters continue operating and measuring water consumption.
The pilot batch of these meters are already in use in Israel, with 40 thousand Qalcosonic W1 units to shortly reach one particular local region.
Qalcosonic W1 created by Axioma Metering is the cutting-edge water meter that is currently available on the market. It features integrated NB-IoT and LoRa or WmBus data reading technologies.
The quality of the meter was confirmed with the MID (Measuring Instruments Directive) certification, the hygiene certificates granted by Chile (OPC), United Kingdom (WRAS), France (ACS), Italy (ICIM), Netherlands (KIWA) and Poland (PZH), as well as the RCC radio certificate (USA and Canada). In addition, the meter is sold at a reasonable price, which is made possible through robotised manufacturing.
